Ex 350z Owner Newbie
Hi Guys
Just joined on here really to get some ideas of a possible project I may do next, Ive always loved the S2000 but i never took the plunge before to buy one. One of my past time hobbies (when i finally get the time) is to modify cars and I have my sights on an S2000 at the moment. I use to own a 350z and I modified it a little and then sold it, now looking for something new. Ive done some research on kits especially the APR kit which looks stunning and I looked at turbo conversions but to be fair Im not really much of a driver, more of a poser ha ha ... at least Im honest. Be good to see some bodykits or stylings you guys have done to yours and what you find most enjoyable about the car. I know not many people go down the F.I route maybe just a remap, is the ECU self learning like the UK Z?
In the mean time heres some pics of my old 350z, just so you know Im not some 5 year old wannabe
Wont be to everyones taste but I liked it

Have you ever driven one?
It's very different from a Z (torque, weight, powerband) however for me it was a very fun ride (2003Z Trac edition vs 2001 S1000). A test drive is a must for you. However, the z wins in the looks department.
nice z by the way -- very nicely done. I actually like your decals.

Never driven an S2000, I think they look stunning though and know they are rev happy. What kind of things would I have to consider if I wanted to go down turbo route, I know the Z you cant go past 380bhp without uprating internals, and the ECU is a big issue with UK 350z. Heard the S2000 is near impossible to turbo with UK tuners
well Mase has a kit out for the UK people, I believe it will be a turn key kit including ecu and tune. Phils2k from the UK was the first to have it and his car made 600+rwhp on the stock engine Something to look into
here you go
701HP on stock internals, stock head gasket. etc

I know it's not on a RHD which complicates things buttttt.

with a head gasket yuo can go up to 14-15 lbs, maybe more.
600 hp, I doubt too but 450 shouldn't be too far off.
Get a KW or SOS supercharger and that will put you in the 350 range without much work. IMO a SC is a far more direct approach, turbo will require much more components and time.

well it's already lasted at least 45 days! haha, I was trying to show that the S2000 motor CAN take a beating.. if the engine was built to withstand the 700 HP he would a)have no money left b)have a solid motor that might stick around for a while.

so much fun here is what my s2k looks like to give you an idea
