Yesterday I picked up my first s2k from a local guy. Its an '02 with 24300mi, its in damn near perfect condition and was only driven on the weekends. On to the pics

Careful with that style of intake...it is known to increase the risk of hydro-lock if you drive through a deep puddle or if you leave the car outside during a rain shower without the hood drain holes plugged. I can see that your hood drain holes are not plugged.

Just to give you an idea what happens: The drain holes on the hood rain rail dumps water right on to the filter for that style intake. The water collects and pools in the lowest part of the intake tube. Then when you try to start the car, it sucks all that water in to the engine. That can destroy the engine pretty quickly.

thanks for the responses!

i was reading through the DIY/FAQ pages today and saw that. i am probably just going to get some sort of plug for the time being and plug up the drain hole, until i can sell this intake for a FIPK

haha thanks...quick question about the "member" status, i paid for it today but it still says i'm a guest. do i have to wait for something in the mail? also when i become a member can i put in the little images in my sig. like TYM and NNY can
