Default Finally bought a 2006 GPW

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum. Just bought a 2006 GPW from dublin honda (bay area norcal). I got it for 30,088 and had to locate it using carsdirect. Most of the local dealerships were either out of 2006s or only had red, dark blue, and black. I got offered 29,500 for reds (over the phone), but couldnt pull the trigger cuz I was holding out for white. So, howd I do??? are there really no more whites in the bay or are THEY just hiding them?

Also, is it possible to tell when the VSA is on? is there a light on the dash?

Congrats! GPWs sure were hot this year. Hard to find. You are right, there are tons of reds around...

When you break down sales by colors, there are only about 500 GPWs sold each year. That plus the fact that a lot of people wanted the black interior, and there are not many to be found. Next year with the black & red interior will be even harder to get a hold of.

actually, I think I was supposed to get Tan interior. The email from carsdirect and the lady I spoke with said it was going to be tan. however, when I got to the dealership I was pleasantly surprised to find that the interior was black. I am loving my new S. Now I just got to learn to drive it better as this is my first stick. I used to drive a 96 ls400 and the cars are worlds different. yea... i wont be able to move outta my parents house for another year (unless i get a new job) but i think the trade off is worth it.

also, i was quoted 2500 for a hardtop from capitol honda from a semi sleazy sales guy who didnt check anything... is this quote accurate??? I am looking for a GPW ht!!!
