Default Finally got my affordable dream car.

Well, I've always been able to afford one but I hated car payments so I waited till I could buy the car outright. I have never had a car payment in my life.

A little bit on my background.
I've had 3 Civic Si stolen(thats right 3) right in front of my house.
I think I hold the record.
I first bought back then was my affordable dream car in 2002 a 2000 Civic Si.
Loved it. I've seen S200 back in those days but they were defiantely out of my range.
I moved to Cali in 2004 and within 1 week, the car was stolen right in front of the house.
Got it back and luckily they only stole the wheels and left it sit flat on the ground.
I had full insurance at the time and after the payout, they dropped me.
I then moved back to Orlando and around 2006, they stole the same car again.
This time, they took a bunch of parts and unluckily, I didn't have full coverage.
Sold that car for $2K.
So I went out to look for another car and for whatever reason I happenned to come across another 2000 Si. Stupid me, I bought another one.
So I had it garaged, alarmed, full coverage, everything.
I went traveling abroad and had an accident(broke my legs) where I was bed ridden for a while.
So I got back and I pretty much drove my auto Jetta as a DD for a while.
I finally was back to 100% so I took my Si out to prep it to start driving it again.
New tire, registration, etc....everything but the insurance.
Stupid me I left it out on the driveway for a week and sure enough, it got stolen again.
This was in June 2008 and they still haven't found it.
3 times, the last 2 times no full coverage.

Fast forward to this year, I started getting the itch again as I got really tired of driving the Jetta.
I gave myself a budget of $15K(no car payment) and it was down to the S2000 and the G35 coupe(both have always been my affordable dream car.).
I started off looking for a S2000 and by the time I looked at a 2nd one, there was no turning back. And I got it a whole lot less than $15K.
A silverstone(red and white was my first choice) 2001 with low 38,xxx miles.
The previous owner kept it in immaculate condition.

Congrats!

If you are still in Florida, post up in the Florida forum to say hello. We have active groups in every major city.

Also, you need to order a set of seat locks today. S2k seat theft is rampant in Florida. A ripped top and stolen seats will total an older s2k...the seats are very expensive. Send a pm to kodokan_4 for seat locks.

Welcome and i'm glad you made the right choice on getting an S2K. Car looks mint from what the pics show. Take good care of her and she'll take good care of you by putting a smile on your face everytime you fire her up. Congrats

Thanks.
I think I've been on this site 24/7 every since I bought the car.
I know about the stolen seats.
- Its garaged.
- Alarmed.
- Full coverage.
So I should be OK.
Heres a couple of pics of my stolen cars.
First time they left it flat on the ground, it was a bitch to get it up.

Second time, they ripped out alot of parts.

How is that possible ?
If you have a loan on a car, they make you get full coverage.
Like I said, I never had a car loan so its always up to me to choose the coverage.
I only have comprehensive right now still deciding if I want to add collision or not.
