Default Finally got an s2000

I've had alot of cars for someone my age, its somewhat of a disease (buying and selling). Anyways back in late March I sold my tsx 6spd and was trying to decide between s2000 and gti. I went for an 02 berlina s2000, drove 2 hours to see it with all intent of buying it but I just didn't get a good feel from the owner and the fender damage ended up being worse than I thought. So I thought well s2000 must not be meant to be and I flew to Maryland to buy a gti.

Well, the gti was pretty well modded and I had immediate regret after purchasing it (I thought I had ridded myself of buying significantly modded cars). Had it been a local car I probably would've walked away. So I thought well I'll still scour along for the right s2000 and see if anything pops up.

Well anyways 2 weeks ago a local original owner 02 sebring, all stock besides espelir asd/koni yellows pops up and I thought ohhhh finally. I go to check it out, and its cleaner than I could've expected, guy took great care of it, and I thought well I just gotta get this. Turns out sebring has really grown on me, I really like how silver cars shine.

So far I am LOVING the s2000. Its been a while since I bought a car and loved it since day 1 (only my 2 r32's really gave me that satisfaction). I first drove an s2000 a couple years ago when Car and Driver had a 50th anniversery event at indianapolis raceway park - I got to auto-x one - man was that fun, ever since then I wanted one. I also have wanted one ever since I shaved my head (screw hair loss) since I would never have to worry about my hair ever again hahha.

Anyways, long time lurker on these forums, glad to finally be an owner.

Now I just gotta figure out what wheels I want - either ap2, rpf1's or rota torque, ya I know all played out but they all look good. Besides wheels and oem lip, I think that'll be it for mods

btw the plan is to sell the gti and pick up an older camry/beater or something to use as my cold weather car.

Congrats on the car...you'll have to change your profile from enthusiast to owner.
