Hello! My name is Kyle. I live in Friendswood Texas (south of houston). I purchased my 2000 Grand Prix White S2K in August of 2004. I have always checked this site out to answer questions for myself but have never registered. Well i'm here now. I autocross my car every couple months and I do details on the side. I work at a Lexus dealership as a driver, before that I worked at the BMW dealership. My S2K has the factory front lip, spoiler, and the previous owner installed a Comptech cat-back. I was happy to see that on there, has a great exhaust note and thats $1200 I didn't have to spend! At the beginning of the summer I had a stereo put in my car, wow that stock unit sucks! I reused the Alpine MP3 headunit and Alpine V12 amp from my last car and installed a really nice Focal component set. I had the installer put the tweeters at the bottom of the w/s pillars. He did a clean job, drilled them out, made a mounting area, and wrapped it in black vinal. It bulges just slightly and looks like its supposed to be there. I did not want a sub this time around because of weight and i've actually had to use my spare twice now, don't really want to be dropping the flat in my passenger seat! The sound is incredible! Every non S2K owner i've asked to see what was different about the inside to see if they could guess it ended up saying "did you put red carpet in it?" Doh! Thats factory! I also had them install a iPod interface for my Alpine unit. The wire for the iPod comes out at the bottom of the center compartment and i simply strap my iPod to the elastic strap on the door and close it. Most impressive. So thats it with me and the car.
