YES!!! I finally bought my first car which is the S2000. I bought it yesterday. I spent a lot of time searching for one online using autotrader and calling around. Then Yesterday me and a friend spent 8hrs driving all over Houston checking out dealerships. One I had in mind was a used 02 Yellow S2k with 39k miles for $20.5k and they kept an update one me calling me back throughout the day. I finally went to see it and actually fell inlove with the yellow S when I saw it. I orginally intended to buy a Grad Prix white one but was almost impossible to find in Houston.

Long story short, finally close the deal on the yellow 02 S2000. The only problems that I found from the dealer was that one of the strikers for the soft top had a broken clip so it wouldnt click shut when closing the latch. They are ordering me new strikes and will be arriving this Tuesday. Other than that, the interior was in perfect condition, all black with ap2 center console and silver radio door which saves me the trouble of buying those. Soft top was well maintain and was pretty much brand new. I'm really excited to finally have my car and will try and get pictures up as soon as possible.

 

congrats. i remember my first S. 01 Spa yellow. I waited 3 months for it to be built.

 

What did you just pay them what they were asking? What happened to haggling?

 

-ck the secret compartment
-adj the oil often
-update the dif & transmission fluids, see the s2ki howto's
-plugs, verify the torque spec, it has a recall on it
-oem radio?, look for the radio code

I have to wait until Tuesday thought for the new driver's side striker. Sucks. It keeps popping off when i hit a bump in the road. But I still love it. haha.
