Keep your eye on your oil level at every fill up. The car burns oil (normally)

Welcome aboard.

Oil is the biggie. It varies with each car, but a quart in a thousand miles isn't unusual. Keep the oil on the Xs on the dipstick, and fill a little at a time if you need some.

I check at every fillup, and usually need to add a small amount every other fillup (on my car anyway).

If you do not know much about the history of the car, I would suggest you get the valve retainers checked. You can do that yourself with the right tools and some patience. I was unfortunate to accidentally downshift to 2nd going 70-73 for about a second or two (Redline at 62). Thankfully none of my valve retainers seem to be cracked. I will check them again in another 3000 miles.

Black on black rocks, Popeye! Personally, I think gunmetal is the best though. Sometimes I wish my car was black to match my Prodrives better.
