Finally, picked up an AP2 ! New Stickshift Driver as well...
Finally picked up an AP2! Silverstone Metallic, and my first manual car... Doing great, but driving in traffic has been kind of hard! If you guys have any tips, please share! And after a few days of owning it, drove my Auto Lexus Is300, and wow felt so boring!
Thank you! And learning just like you said, on the go! Been doing pretty well, and have to say- I am loving every minute of it. Didn't realize that the car is so rare though, I don't see too many on the road! The car is definitely still an eye catcher as well. Loving it so far
The car loves to be abused.
Gear shifts are the smoothest above 4000RPM, dont shift too slowly or the transmission and engine will dip below the next gear speed. (this will put extra stress on the synchros and clutch)
Besides that getting the clutch right at a start so the engine doesnt bog can be tricky due to low torque.
My first manual was a 08 Civic Si which is pretty similar to the S2000. Bought it on a saturday and drove it to work on a monday.
Enjoy it!

Congrats on your purchase and learning how to drive a manual transmission. I hope by now that you are doing well and haven't stalling it too many times, if any.
My first car at age 17 was a manual and I had one of my parents cars as a manual while I was learning to drive and getting my license when I was 15. When I sold that car a few years later, I found myself missing manual transmissions for many years. I couldn't ask for a better manual transmission that what the S2000 has and it is a joy to drive.
I'll be driving this car as long as she lives and enjoying manual transmissions as long as I'm able to.
Good luck with your new car. Congratulations for learning a new skill.

Thank you very much guys! I am definitely learning, I can go from point A to point B, but still learning to get through traffic, only stalled 3 times since I have had it, though! And finally, here are some pics!
