Default Finally pulled the trigger ...

So after two years of lusting after this car, and over a year hanging out on S2ki, I finally pulled the trigger on my S2000 purchase today. I picked up a 2006 in Laguna Blue. Love the car!

S2ki definitely made me much smarter and my buying experience easier. I knew more about the car than the salesman. I was giving the dealership specific instructions on prep, for example -- told them to take off the front plate bracket. The salesman at first told me it couldn't be done, then that it was too hard and the service department had to do it, and then that there was no such thing as bumper plugs. Got it straight in the end. He also tried to play stump the chump when filling the tank, but I already knew where the tank release was!

There are still some surface blemishes in the finish -- two minor clearcoat scratches -- that they agreed to fix but I have to come back when their "detail specialist" is at work. An annoyance that they took $$ off the price for, at least.

After a long drive home and some more driving this evening -- 340 miles to VTEC!

Good for you Hawk.
It's a great color...well I'm somewhat biased.
You'll love driven this thing although I don't use it as the daily driver.
Several 2006 Laguna Blue buyers have received the car with some swirl and scratches. Me too - on the front hood. Dealer promised to fix it but frankly I've lost faith in my local dealer and might live with the problem rather then have them screw it up more then it is.
Anyway enjoy your new car!!!
