Default Finally purchased my realistic dream car.

As of Tuesday, October 4th, at 7:38PM.. I became the proud new owner of my realistic dream car. 2001 SSM with 111k on the clock. Yes, that may seem like a lot of miles to some of you, but for me that is the lowest mileage I have had on a car yet. I am very proud of my purchase because it proves that hard work pays off. I am only 20 years old.. working at a local pizza restaurant making just above minimum wage and going to school full-time. I bought a RSX-S after a year of working and only got to drive it for 6 months before somebody hit me in the rear, totaling the car. Along with the insurance money collected, selling my parts, and a lot of money in my savings account.. I had just enough to hope that somebody put up one of these amazing cars on craigslist. After a month of searching CL in over 6 local cities.. I finally came across my SSM AP1. The minute I pushed the "push to start" button I knew I was in for a serious treat. After driving it for 3 days.. I am still in shock that I am able to own this car.. and can say that I worked my butt off to achieve it.

Okay, enough with the babbling, onto the pics of the car and future plans.

One pic for now.. 2 days after owning it. The car came with K-Sport coils so I rolled my fenders and threw on my old wheels and lowered her a bit.

^Crappy Iphone pic.. lighting sucks.. I was fixing to go into work and wanted a picture. Wheels are SSR Koenig 17x8 +44 17x9 +36.

I am more a form over function kind of guy. You may say this is blasphemy to the S2K.. but I cannot afford to get a speeding ticket/aggressive driving/whateverthehellcouldgowrong. And I would never forgive myself if I ever wrecked it just because I wanted to test the limits of the car through a turn.

With that said.. my future plans are:

Hard top. (Want oem but those are EXPENSIVE).. so will probably get a Mugen rep.
Next will be to sell my wheels or add cash for some 18's.
Then I would like some Bride sears.. because I have always dreamed of owning a set.
Those are really the main points.. little things I want to do is replace the horrible speakers and radio.

Thank you sir.. I love the wheels.. I just wish I could find center caps for them. And I cannot decide if I want too bump them up to 18's and have them re-done to be 18x9 18x10 with XX offsets.. Dunno yet :/

I am also driving the car like a baby.. not only because I purchased the car with MY money.. but also because I have lurked on here reading the horror stories of AP1's over steering and what-not..

imo the car is not as bad as everyone makes it seem as far as oversteer. i have an ap2, but it has no vsa just like the ap1 and i have yet to come into any trouble. just always make sure you have good tread in the rear, and if respect the car it will respect you. remember to have fun!

I used to deliver pizzas in high school. It was great to be able to work in your car!

Hard work will always be rewarding, enjoy it!

I personally think those wheels look good.

You said OEM top is too expensive, nothing is too expensive if you save your money. If you really want that OEM top just save up for a few more months instead of settling for the Mugen rep. Just my two cents.

This is true.. I have always been one to save up and get what i really wanted.. but I need to get something soon because I do not have a garage and I want the hardtop to protect the car from the elements and dang cats!!
