Default Finally! S2k Rescue. New owner in AR

Hey all-

I'm joining S2KI as a convert from the VW world. I've had a stock block big turbo MKIV Jetta since 2006 and I've owned it since new back in 03. I wanted to add something more reliable and the S2k is also RWD which is a giant perk. I'm a Member of a lot of other forums. I look forward to some good discussion and talking to some folks here.
I just rescued a 75k Mile 2000 S2k from a small town about an hour away from my home in Northwest Arkansas the car was sitting on the side of a hill under a tree and my first order of business was putting a new battery in it and vacuuming out about a foot of water from the trunk. (yikes!)
What I'm really looking forward to is fixing some of the wear and tear and adding a few bolt-ons. I can't wait to try and improve on this already awesome platform. I'm mostly looking to start with coils and upgrade the 15 year old stock suspension. I've got KW V1's on my Jetta and they've been great can't wait to see how this thing handles with good tires and refreshed suspension.

I'm also looking forward to meeting some car folks from a different scene of people. Seems to be a lot less air bags and stickers in the S2000 community.

Cheers!

Welcome! Be sure to stop by the Ark-La-Tex section from time to time.

We have our fair share of that too, although perhaps not as much in our part of the country as others.
