First car ever!
Hi Everyone!
My name is Amanda and I'm joining this thread finally since I've been lurking for the past 2 weeks. Last Saturday I picked up my first baby ever. She is a 2001 Silverstone and I've named her Bianca...don't ask...lol
I just wanted to say hello and that all the things I've been reading up on has been very useful.
Lastnight I changed the oil myself, the spark plugs, the a/c filter cabin, refilled the windshield washer fluid and did a coolant flush. It felt really good after to say that I did that stuff myself. Silly me though I forgot to take pics just in case people didn't believe me!
Please be gentle as this is my first car and I'm new to the scene. I promise to use the search function here and not ask too many "already" asked questions!
Nice meeting you all!

^ YES.
Amanda, please cruise the FAQ thread and get yourself up-to-speed.
What great luck for you to have an S as your first car. Take it REAL easy out there until you get used to the car.
Best wishes. Oh, since you're up in CAN, make sure you have winter tires for the winter. You will be in a world of hurt if you use summer tires and the temps start dropping.
Drive safe!

Amanda, welcome! Very cool that you already changed the oil yourself. Lots of good advice on here; please be careful with the car, as it is tail happy. Once you learn how to really drive it, however, it will be a blast!
And I second Carbon; you should not be ashamed of the name! My RSX was actually Francesca and my S is Josephina
Have fun!
