Default First mods?

Well I kinda want to sell my z for an s, but I still want some speed. With the Z community we usually get JWT popcharger, some kind of exhaust, plenum spacer, lowering springs, Test pipes, and a U-Tec. What do S2000 people usually start out with to get some extra horses? I mean specific like what brand intake, because I bought an AEM on my Z and it was horrible because of the dryflow filter. I everyday drive the car but, I would like to go FI with it, but on the Z I always hear about people blowing them up after like 50k miles. I want the S2k for reliability because honda knows how to make a car but I just cant see myself driving any other type like a civic or accord. I have heard good things from the HKS exhaust but I haven't really done any research. Thats why I'm on here because I really like the car and I wanna make the right choices on mods.

Thanks,
Ryan

invidia V3 is a good exhaust for the price, and the sound is awsome!...loud though, even with the silencers...I myself started with an upgrade to the stereo because honda was definately struggling on that front....

agreed, 4.56 gears, exhaust, some good intake, and leave it at that for a while, or you can go inlinepro boost, HG, and about 15 psi, daily driven. 400+ whp , its a honda, they are realible, unlike some nissans

I drive about 60 miles on the interstate twice a week though back and forth from school. With 4.56 gears what is the gas milage like around 85 with em? Also what would yall reccomend a newer one or older with the higher redline.

don't start the AP1 v. AP2 debate

with 4.77s (always at higher rpm than 4.56 at the same speed) i get about 21mpg in mixed (but mostly city) driving. driving on the highway with 4.56 at around 85 i'm guessing you'll get 24-25mpg.
