Anyway, thanks for the kind words from my first introduction! I LOVED my 06 right up until a truck smashed it.

I've had a bunch of different sports cars, but when the guy hit me, the first thing I thought (seriously, before the car even stopped moving) was "I've got to have another one!".

Have a Black 2004 now, got a sweet deal as it needs a couple of things, body/interior is perfect though, will post pics of course! I wanted another 06, but the 04 is great, no VSC to turn off every time I start the car!

welcome back

I am a first time owner of a AP2 S2k. I have 05.

I've always wondered. .. is there a big difference between 06 upgrades and 04-05 that you notice?

Thanks man, and welcome to the club yourself.

I was really looking for another 06. I didn't think I'd like the 04 but once I test drove it I was hooked (again) I plan on modding the 04 but won't try to add 06+ stuff except for speakers in the headrest. PLus I LOVE my stock AP2 V1 wheels!

I don't notice much, but it was 6 months in between the two. To be honest, what I actually miss in the 04 is little stuff. First, I REALLY miss the extra speakers behind my head, I will be doing something about that for damn sure. In regular cars with custom stereo, I don't like "rear fill" sound from behind me, but even with upgraded audio in the 04 I can't hear the music at speed like I could with the stock speakers in the 06. Also, I keep looking at down at the dash to read the outside temp and it's not there in my 04, silly complaint but it's true.

I will probably miss the VSC when I need to drive a long way in hard rain, but so far I'm just glad I don't have to turn it off every time I start the car, because I love to drift a little bit in turns (constantly!) and spin the tires. I thought I would miss the DriveByWire throttle but haven't noticed anything really, except feeling the pedal pop out more (I think) when I turn off the cruise control! If there are any big differences that I haven't mentioned, I guess they aren't big to me or I'm just stupid!

Enjoy that 05!!

thanks for the reply! yea i was wondering what you really thought about the DBW Throttle. I can't imagine to drive a s2k w/ that implemented. I've driven other cars with it (acura-nissan-toyota) and all of them i've experienced not to great throttle response.

yea the speakers on 04-05 suck. definitely can use the upgrade!
