i would think about looking into another one. I would find one you are perfectly happ[y with and work for that one.

Terrible deal. I just picked up an 05 with 18k miles a few months ago for 19k from a private party. No curb rash. Few rock chips. Just a small scrape on the lid of the trunk from where the previous owner probably slid something across.

Ticking noise could be the cam chain auto tensioner.

I think offering 18k may be a definite lowball to a dealership, though.

Thanks for the replys. I like all of the inputs. That dealer called me today and said that he sold that car last night. No loss, it wasn't meant to be. I found another one around the same price 60 miles away with 25,000 miles on it. It's at a honda dealership. The guy over the phone said that if we can't come to a deal he'll pay for my gas!!!!!!! He also said depending on my credit I might be able to get 2.9-3.9% financing!

I finally got one MY05 Silver with about 30,000 miles on the clock. I couldn't be any happier right now. When I get up in the morning I I say to myself YES I have to commute to work.
