Few bits of advice:

1. Don't let the dealership wash your car. 90% of the swirl marks on my first S were put there by the dealership. Drive it home with the plastic and wash it yourself if you want it to look nice.

2. Make sure they don't put any of their stupid advertising on the car. I.e. no license plate on the front and no stickers on the back.

3. Make sure your bumper plugs come with the car. These are often lost or left out by the dealership when they put the front plate on.

4. Extended warranties suck ass so if you plan on doing ANYTHING to the car, don't bother getting the extended warranty.

5. Make sure that all of the spring spacers on the car are removed before you drive off the lot. They can be easily overlooked.

6. Check your tire pressure immediately after getting the car. The cars come with the tires inflated to about 45psi for shipping purposes. Most of the time the dealers don't check that.

That's all I can think of for now. Click on the FAQ link in my sig for other common questions and problems.

Good luck on working a deal.

make sure ur car has the correct antenna....
i work at a dealer, and alot of times the antennas are stolen off the cars when they are in inventory, and the salesmen replace them with Element antennas

I GOT THE S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got it Monday like i said i was going too...sorry i never wrote back..just busy driving the car and getting the feel of it..awsome car ppl..i love it...handeling is beautiful, nice and stiff but easy to work with. jsut some quick questions....

when iam driving it i notice my headlights are on, not the whole headlight but just the tip of the head light..like a city light of some sort..is that normal or I can turn that off..i just never notice that on S's..

two: idk if other s2k owners have this problem but i feel like 3rd gear when it goes in, i feel it like it pussing something in its way and then goes in..like a thump sound...idk if its because its still new and breaking in but is that normal..2nd gear as well if i shift a lil too fast...but not racing speed fast just faster then usuall.

Rookie mistake... lol..dont try to laugh too hard.. but I wish someone would of told me how to go reverse in that car...ive delt with ITR trannies and GSr trannies on my hatch and figured it was like that..just go all the way to the right and down..thats reverse..but after going into 6th gear and moving foward i finally realized I had to push down to set it.. another funny thing was..i wish some1 told me how i open my gas tank..lol...I actually told my gf to take the owners manual out and start reading cuz i dont see it...till i finally saw the lil lever that read "gas" ..

other then that i love the car..I took everyones advice here..check for spacers, clean my own car, check for correct antenna etc... thanks for everything guys... I already got an alarm installed..just incase.. other then that..my lip and wing are comming from flagstaff honda sometime this week..will take pics asap...if theres any more hints and tips i should know about..iam all ears ppl

Congrats on the car. BTW, 06's have daytime running lights. That's what you notice. The gear stiffness is normal during break in I think. I had similar problems that resolved themself on mine. Good luck

JDM, welcome to ownership and welcome to s2ki.com!

Glad you went for it. Laguna is a terrific color, and of course you know it was knew for MY06, so no one will mistake your car for any other year.

Congrats. And, consider becoming a s2ki.com member if you like to hang around.
