Default Gettings back to my honda roots

well first car was a honda 10 years ago and had many since then in fact i own 4 now. but im looking to get rid of my Lexus IS300 that ive had for the last 3 years that was making around 400 whp till i unboosted it to sell it.

im looking for an ap1 i like the fact it had a more sporty suspension and 9k just sounds sweet

just would like to find out if theres anything typical to go wrong or out in that model that i should look for when buying one

thanks

The AP2's acctually have a stiffer front suspension and alittle softer rear to make it more controlable.. also since it has 17's it gives a more firm ride out of the box... But if by more sporty you mean snap oversteer.....

I disagree. The AP1 has a stiffer (and less forgiving) factory suspension setup.

The biggest thing to consider when looking at an AP1 is the rear window. The 00 and 01 models came with a plastic window and the 02-03 models came with glass. The plastic window cracks easily in cold weather, and requires replacing the entire top which is a major undertaking. Many of the 00-01 cars are getting to the point that the top is being replaced with a glass top conversion which is also something to look at. I was quoted close to $2000 to have mine replaced. I ended up doing it myself, but if I was doing it again, I'd pay the 2 grand. Good luck with the purchase.
