Is this a good deal?
Hi everyone, I am new here and I think this community is great! I am looking at used cars for $10,000 and I really like the S2000. Is it possible to get a good S200 with fairly low mileage for that price? I have been looking around the internet and reading up in these forums about it. Most of the S2k's I have found in my price range in good condition have around 100,000 to 120,000. I was also wondering if either of these was a good deal based on your knowledge of the cars? Any help or advice you can give a hopefully future owner of a S2k would be greatly appreciated! This is my first time ever posting on a forum so sorry if I am posting in the wrong place or anything.

Both seem to be fairly reasonable, but personally the second option is more attractive. With an AP2 motor under the hood there is less to worry about as far as cracked/damaged valve retainers etc... But at the sametime both are very clean looking cars, so assuming you go and check them out and everything is clear both should be good deals.
I recently purchased a AP! (wanted the higher redline) ended up purchasing from a honda mechanic I know (was my first used car I purchased so I trust having a mechanics car). The car drives better than the lower mileage S2000s I drove. It is not always about mileage, but how the car was maintained. There are so many abused S2000 for sale in Socal. I even saw some with ripped subframes and rust. If someone is willing to sell even lower than that with less mileage I would be very suspicious. Heck I would buy another one right now if I found one with very low mileage and good condition under 10k.
