Got a 2K S2K
I've been looking for an S2K during the last 2-3 months. Originally, I decided I needed an AP2 so I test drove a number of 04s and 05s in the Twin Cities area. I liked driving the cars, and it confirmed that this was the car for me.
A few weeks ago a 2000 S2000 was listed by a private seller close to me. I had a look and it was close-to-perfect, 36K miles, no mods, hardly had ever seen rain, absolutely no winter driving, etc. I bought it the next day. Even the back plastic window is in great shape!
My other toy is a modified 03 Mitsubishi Evo that I primarily use as a track car. The S2000 is for weekend driving and fun.
I just used the S2000 for a 320 mile top-down-only drive. Amazingly comfortable (especially compared to the modified Evo!). I got 30 mpg, drove for 20 miles in the rain and didn't get the interior wet, and could listen to podcasts on the radio without problem.
This is the first Honda that I have owned and I really like the engineering. Seems really well build and designed. Something that just blew me away is that the big depression in the floor in the trunk is exactly the right size to hold a standard carry-on bag. That is attention to detail!

Here is a picture of the S2K and Evo. Pretty similar color.

The prior owner put some screens in the front bumper cover openings. They keep the bugs out, but I'm not sure about how they look.
