Greetings all, My name is Ali! I reside in Miami and just picked up a GPW MY00' with a couple knickknacks from Tampa (7hour Roundtrip) exactly a week ago. My best friend Frenchie drove me up there in his Prelude for us to check it out and scoop it up, we were both dreaming of getting this car since we were in the 9th grade just over 10 years ago. All was going well until the drive home and then this happened; Best day ever turns to worst.... in honor of my best friend I've chosen the Screenname: Le S2K and am changing my license plate to reflect the same. Needless to say I'm going to do my best to continue our dream...

Hey Ali! Welcome to the forums! My name is Ricky, and I'm the South Florida Community Organizer. I'm sorry to hear about your friend, and it's very cool of you to dedicate the plate to him. We do a lot of meets, tech days, group drives, and hang outs down here in Dade county. If you're on facebook, I encourage you to check out and join the S2KI South Florida page. Here is the link.

We have a weekly meet at the Ale House in Pinecrest. Every Wednesday night around 930 a group of us go, hang out on the patio, and BS. If you want to meet the group, this is where you should do it. Drive around the balcony, I'll see you and wave.

The next big meet is on the 29th of May at Steve's Pizza. There is a dedicated thread in the South Florida forum about the meet.

Hey Ricky, I plan to be out there May 29th at Steves. I usually work Wednesdays so you may see me at Ale house about once a month. Hopefully that will allow me sometime to fix some of these little issues I have being that my chassis was assembled in 1999.
