Default Greets from Arkansas

Hi folks. Earlier this year I bid on what seemed like hundreds of S2K's only to lose to the richer guys!
I flirted with some other cars, but had the same luck, so gave up and went on with my life.
Recently, I thought with the economy sputtering, I'd try again.
Dreams can come true!
I found a 2008 Chicane Silver with 18,xxx miles. I set a price in my mind and it looked like I was
going to get it. You know what happened next, someone else thought they'd buy it.
Anyway, several thousand dollars more than I'd planned, and it was mine!!
I had it trucked in from Cali and picked it up Thursday. Drove it home and parked it til I can shake
off the Flu.
I couldn't be happier. The car looks like Day1. It is stock from front to back, and I plan on keeping
it that way.

Welcome, and it looks like patience paid off even though it took a bidding war to get it. Even though it is low miles and looks well maintained, I would start out with fluid maintenance so that everything is known and you establish your own intervals from that starting point. Plus, that just gets you into knowing the ins and outs of the car. It's actually pretty therapeutic maintaining cars.

Congrats!

Don't forget to torque oil filter!

Make sure dealer gets you the correct one, exclusive for S2000.

Follow instrucions printed on filter.

Lools like ordinary filter, but don't treat it like ordinary. Risk losing car to engine fire.

There is a sticky tread on things for new owners to do and check. Very comprehensive. Suggest diligently review it.

One more bid and it would be in your garage.

I wish I had known that! I rationalized to myself that I wanted a blue one anyway.

Congrats on getting a great car.
