Default Grin Machine!

Satisfied a ten year longing for the S2K by finally puchasing a Suzuka Blue 2005 with 26,000 miles on the clock about two weeks ago. The car has yet to not put a smile on my face when I look at it, never mind drive it!

The mod bug has already taken hold, I've installed a new set of Yokohama S drives, and ordered a Neuspeed Sport Cup kit with Koni Yellows. Monday it goes in to have the windows tinted and have my Valentine One hardwired into the car. Still getting a Camber kit, strut bar with X brace, lower X brace, and rear billet tie bar.

Naturally aspirated mods seem to be more money than what they are worth. I say, "Phoey", to spending $1500 and picking up twenty horsepower. My wallet is scared of a turbo at this point but we'll see what happens. Know a guy that is getting 400 whp on pump gas with a stock block.

I've had my share of fast cars but they have been of the straight line variety, Fords and Mustangs. Have a history of Rock Crawling also. My younger days were consumed with all things motorcycle, both dirt and asphalt. This is my first sports car and I must say it's the best handling car that I've ever driven. Found already that I've got a tendency to over drive the car by giving it too much input. Oh yeah, this is my second Honda, had a 1997 Civic with an H22A that I got rid of to buy this car.

Anyway, I'll close now before this turns in to a small book!

Welcome and glad to see someone as enthusistic about the car like everyone else!

James what brand strut bar are you looking at? Been trying to look myself, kind of worried about buying one off of eBay.

I'm looking at Neuspeed stuff as I've had great results in the past with it on my Big Block Civic.

I'm glad I've been reading the site already as I've found out that I don't need to install a Camber Kit as the car comes with one installed. Thank you, Mr. Honda!

Sounds good I'll have to look that up.

What modifications are you going to do under the hood besides considering turbo?

I'm holding off on making any under hood mods until I can decide if I'm going to turbo the car or not. Stock horsepower is fun to drive, but a turbo must be out of control on that chassis.

If it stays NA, I'll do intake, exhaust, and maybe cams.

Really thinking that I'm not going to get too carried away, maybe sort the suspension out a bit, but the horsepower is pretty respectable even in its stock form.
