hello everyone! im planning to buy an S within the next few months, just waiting on the right one to come along. im not a noob to the whole scene, but am a bit to s2k's.

Good choice of a car to be looking at . A huge tip I would give you is to get a 2002 or newer, if you can afford it. There were a few changes starting in 2002, and more came in 2004...but mainly you get a glass rear window with a defogger. I believe the interior was changed around a bit also.

Try to find one with low mileage (obviously, but not a huge factor) and when you look at one, pay careful attention to the soft top...make sure there are no rips or tears. My friend had a hole in his MY01, and when he got into his car after work on a rainy day, he had a puddle in his driver's seat. Good luck!

 

Welcome aboard!! Make sure you get what you want (year, color, mileage, price, etc.). It may take a little time but when you find what you want, you'll be happy.

 

thanks everyone! yea, i wanted to kinda jump into it, and settle for a silverstone, but i guess ill wait for a gpw one to come along. i wouldnt mind a 2000-2001, but again, ill hold out for a bit and wiat for the prefect one.
