Default Hello ..I am new to this board

My name is Eric and I live in North East Texas-in the DFW metroplex. I just purchased a 2006 Berlina Black S 2000 and added the following add-ons: Deck Spoiler, Honda Security System, Wheel Locks, and Perma Plate protectorant for paint and leather.

I am now considering purchasing the Hardtop (in Berlina Black) and an electric hoist to raise and lower the HT on and off the car.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the hardtop and any other suggestions or ideas I might want to consider since I am new.

Look forward to hearing from all of you.

Cheers,

Eric

Charles

Thanks for replying. As you can see I am able to post now. So do you think a hardtop is worth it? Is it a worthwhile addition?

Thanks,

Eric

Hello

About the hardtop....
Sure its nice and a lot more comfortable.
But once its on you cant decide at a moments notice to drop the top and let the wind comb your hair.

What is the electric hoist?
Can you then lift the hardtop in your garage (?) and drive away leaving the roof at the ceiling? Just thinking out loud.

Welcome.

Yes, the hoist allows a single person the ability to remove and/or install the hardtop. Using either a manual or electirc hoist, you can raise and lower the hardtop and store it suspended from the ceiling.

It's not that it weighs that much (only 44 lbs) but it is very awarkard to position it just right to latch it in place. The hoist allows a single person to do this. If you have someone at home, then two people can install or remove the hardtop easily.

I am a single person and need a "sure fiire method" to put it on and take it off.

If your interested in more info and pics, see www.eztop.com

Cheers,

Eric
