hello guys. just got my s2000 and read through the buyers guide on here. helped me out alot so thank you. the car is great and love the handling of it. this is my first convertible and dont know why i didnt buy one sooner lol. its great having the top down (although i need to get some sunblock and keep it in the car). anyway the car is stock except for a act stage 1 clutch and neuspeed springs. the previous owner changed the timing chain and water pump at the same time as the clutch also. i've noticed the radio reception is not that great so i'll be looking to change out the stock radio and speakers soon. also would like to get a seat lowering bracket so i have the little extra room that would make this car great.
quick questions for you guys.
i think i read that skipping gears when upshifting isnt a good idea. im kind of lazy sometimes and will go from 1st to 3rd. should i stop?
getting a slight vibration when on decel and when going high in the rpms. the previous owner said that when he installed the springs he didnt know about the shaft spacers and that they need to go in. i already ordered a set but im wondering if it could be something else?
the engine and tranny have alot of movement. seems like the stock mounts are really worn. what would u guys recommend for a car that will see summer time daily driving?
the car is at 97k miles right now. i hear this faint ticking when driving. the previous owner told me he did the timing chain so i dont think its the tct. could it be valvetrain chatter? i know im being kind of vague on that one sorry.
