Hello from north San Diego county, CA!
Hey guys, been using the sight for a 6 months or so for info but never introduced myself.
My name is Nick. I'm in the Marine Corps a young 20 year old. Currently in Southern California. About 40 minutes north of San Diego.
I wanted an S2000 probably since I was around 16, I come from Indiana and there's about 0 S2000's there so when I moved out here and saw the car scene I knew I could get my hands on one. Searched around for a while and finally bought one from a guy close to me. Had 80 some thousand miles on it which was pretty good for a MY2000. He had done some minor things like CAI and some other dilly dally stuff so what I did was I saved up (for a while) and had the motor completely rebuilt, brand new aluminum block, completely forged internals and then went on to turbo it wth a Garrett GT3076R 60mm turbo. I lowered it on coilovers (NOT SLAMMED, an s2000 should never be slammed) then put some new wheels and tires on her got a dyno and tune (a few) and worked 605 crank HP and 512WHP with 335ftlbs wheel torque. Have some other things in mind for her, mostly appearance mods. Not much more performance that can be done to my knowledge. Really just looking to make great friends and go to car meets and meet good people at them so if there's any fellow S2K members that live around me and know of clubs or meets or some people I could mingle with speak up!
Thanks guys, Nick.

Btw my car isn't fully registered because I can't pass smog. What do you need to sign up for the autocross event?

Welcome
You should try to bring that car to Qualcomm this weekend. 550whp could be a lot of fun at an autocross

It's a championship event but anyone can run. Just show up before 10:30 to sign up for the run group after lunch and you should be good. They have helmets there and your car does not have to be street legal
As for regular meets I know there's one at the Fuddruckers in Mira Mesa on the last Thursday of every month.
