Hello! - From Ontario, Canada (but with a RX7!)
Hello!
I'm hoping that you guys on this forum can help me with some of the technical engine aspects of my winter project.
It's a first gen RX7 that I just recently bought a F20C for.
The original plan was too put the F20C in and enjoy that for a while, but after some thinking I think that I'm going to go with a low(ish) compression F24 build. As I do plan on adding a turbo later on.
To be completely honest I'm not that familiar with working on engines. I've been doing all my own work, but for the most part that's been just bolt on work. I'm hoping to be able to do this build myself (except the machine work).
Let me know if you have any advice or tips, and thanks in advance for any help!

the stock f20 will handle boost just fine.
I wouldn't go with a F24 unless you were 100% sure of what you were getting yourself into - there have been a significant number of badly built motors (even to stock specs) that don't last very long. Even ones built by 'good' shops like Endyn, InlinePro, etc

welcome, try to find some S2000 enthusiasts around your area, where are you from in Ontario ?. There are a few of us from London, Kitchener, and Toronto, lots of meets and check out the Southern Ontario forum. You can easily find someone to help out with mechanical stuff. I'm always willing to help but I'm in the London area, kind of away from the larger groups of S2000 owners.

The car isn't going to see the road too often. It will mostly be a weekend and track/autocross toy. And I don't plan on having anything super high horsepower. I just want something that I can get into trouble with. 400whp would be sufficient. The car should only weigh around 2500lbs.
