Welcome to the site.

Seat thefts are crazy in FL, you need to either:
A. Park in a garage at night
B. Get a really good proximity alarm
C. Take your seats inside with you when you park

Or they will become someone elses seats and it will total your car.

Just trying to look out for a fellow Floridian!

Congrats on the purchase. A couple of things I might recommend to prevent theft of your seats;

1. Buy seat locks. Even though they rip your top and maybe slash your seats, at least you still have something to sit on while taking it to the shop or wherever.
2. Buy a hardtop. Beats the whole point of buying a convertible though, IMO.

I never really consider a hardtop a protection for seats. A smart thief will smash your window, take your seats AND your hardtop if they have time and a truck.

Seat locks are the best option, they might get mad and rip your car up, but at least you still have the seats till insurance gives you money for new ones. Enjoy the car for what it is and dont worry about thieves, it will ruin the whole experience if your paranoid 24/7.
