Hello from San Jose, CA!
Hello from south San Jose! My name is Youmna, and I'm a fairly recent transplant to California from New York. (Four years is recent, right?)
I got my first Miata, a 2000 SE, in late September 2010...

... and killed it on Alpine Road a little over a year later.

(The driver's side wheel is pointed straight forward.)
A month later - November 2011 - I got a '96 M Edition.

She served me well, that little car, but I was kind of turned off to her after she dyno'd at a whopping 98 whp. It's a bit of a blow to the ego when your little brother tells you his sport bike has more hp than your car. I sold this car in May 2013.
After a lot of discussion, I let go of the idea of getting an '01 SE (BRG, my favorite): I wanted more power, and knew I would put in a roll bar, sway bars, a better suspension, and undoubtedly more goodies as time went on. Instead of getting a much-loved future project car, I got my S2000 in January 2013:

...and haven't looked back since.
I'm going to my first autocross in a few weeks, and plan to track the car some time in the next year. Fun times are ahead!

Hi all! Thanks for the warm welcome.
Themikewoo, I've already done some of the things on your list, but it's definitely covering more bases than I'd thought of - thank you!
I'll definitely check out the Milpitas meet in a few weeks. September keeps getting busier and busier!
