Hello All,

After years in the Subaru AWD/Turbo arena (still have 2) and after 2 MazdaSpeed3s, last year I got a 2014 Miata MX-5 Club PRHT and loved it since I'd missed RWD.
(laugh, but I had a 4th Gen LT-1 1LE z28 T-56 6mt as my first "real" car).

Now, after 5 months of debating RX8/S2K/SW20 (one of these is not like the others) I finally found a great deal on an S2000 from the year 2000 and brought it home about an hour ago.

2000 AP1 S2000: Berlina Black with the Red/Black interior.

Came with:
Full Race Berk exhaust (test pipe + cat to swap in and out)
Eibach Pro Plus suspension kit (basically sways and springs as best I can tell)
2 tears in the top and one in the plastic window (original top--15yrs old)

I'll get pics up once I remote host them.

One of my (stock/OEM) rims came pretty curbed, so I'll be looking to upgrade rims and tires asap and I'm also going back to the stock/OEM mufflers as the Berk is way too loud for the cops around here.

I'm leaning towards getting Emotion CR-KAIs (or whatever the current version of those is) to mount some Direzza Star Specs Z11 (love those) but I've got to figure out the offset/stagger etc--if anyone has suggestions please let me know as I'm a total S2000 n00b and prefer expert advice to my own blind guessing.

theres a ton of info in the wheels and tires topic, that will tell you all you need to know about what fits and how to get others to. as for you swapping the exhaust back to OEM, then you might wanna look into the UK exhaust mod, as itll make it a bit louder than oem levels, but keep you safe from the cops that hate on db levels,

 

Awesome, thanks! I'll check out that top, and the UK sounds like a good idea. I want a BIT louder but this Berk Full Race is just too much attention here.

Any hints as to how to tame wind noise at the top/windshield seal area?
(though suppose I should search, betting you guys have thread )

Pics are coming, have to wash/wax/clay and get my friend to take some b/c I can make a great car look awful.
