FYI for the rest of you: Once he starts modding the s2k (because he won't not be able to) you'll be in for a treat. He's done some great work with Subarus.
You actually going to learn how to drive these fantastic cars you build? As in track time?

Track time is definate. The STi was more of a street car/drag car. Saw alot of time at the drag strip.
The s2k will be seeing a ton of autocross action and hopefully a few trips to beaverun and summit. The handling on this car is absolutely intoxicating. Hands down better than my 7, the 7 had some suspension mods done too.
The rx7 was a 94 PEP
