Hello, Everyone!
I'm Dave Parker from Amelia, Ohio (suburb of Cincinnati). After years of oggling S2000s, my Laguna Blue came home with me today, 2 days shy of my 53rd birthday. When the salesperson asked how long I expected to keep the car, I said "until it dies or I die, whichever comes first". What a heart-pounding joy driving the 40 miles back home. Had 21 miles on it, and it was on the showroom floor. Did a 15 mile test drive, and was hooked. Wow!!
I have to go back to the dealer tomorrow to get my XM and iPod link installed, and to get the damn owner's manual so I can figure out how to open the gas tank lid
First stick shift in about 15 years for me; I'm loving it! If it ever stops raining I am sure I will love it even more with the top down!
Look forward to participating here, and learning from you long-time owners.
Dave

Congratuations and enjoy!
first tip: save the money you were going to spend on the honda xm radio and ipod link...use the money to get a new alpine headunit with ipod connection and modfry dci adapter so you can still use your dash audio controls. I'm sure alpine makes a unit that is xm compatible as well.
one of the major s2k owner complaints is that the stock stereo sucks. the 06 stereo is MUCH better than previous years, but still isn't fantastic.
(if you already bought the parts from honda, just ignore me
)

From this former Buckeye (Waterville-outside of Toledo and Northfield - south of Cleveland) congrats on the new car.
The color is fantastic and your description of your age, not driving a stick in years and the first 40 miles echo's mine.
You are going to love this car.
Enjoy!!!
California resident now but do visit the family cabin in Lakeside every summer.

Well I did find the gas tank cover switch, and low in behold, when I PULLED it rather than pushed it, some freaky secret compartment opened up - how cool is that! I think I can fit my dog in there, all 12 lbs of him - it's huge! And at least I have my owner's manual now ;-)
