Default Hi all I am considering an upgrade

Hi everyone,

My name is Damir, and I am currently a proud owner of a 2008 ASM Civic Si coupe, I decided to join s2ki because I am thinking of upgrading to a s2k, and figured I would get some more info before I do. I am leaning towards a 02-03 ap1 (mostly cuz of price no real pref between ap1 and ap2) and was wondering if you guys could shoot some suggestions or pointers my way in terms of things to watch out for, suggestions, or things I should know before switching to a S2K.

Here is my current setup

Current Mods:

Engine Performance:
Injen Cold Air Intake
Skunk2 Mega Power R 70mm Exhaust
Strup Race Header
Strup Angled Defouler
Cobb AcessPort
Ingalls Power Stick
Injected Stock Motor Mounts
Skunk2 Short Shifter

Suspension/Brakes/Tires/Wheels
Hawk Pads (front and Rear)
Rotora Slotted and Cross Drilled Rotors (front and rear)
Konig Daylite 17" Wheels (Black 14.1 lbs each)
Yokohama S Drive in 225/45/17
Tein S-Tech Lowering Springs

Exterior:
20% Honda Factory Tint All Around
Factory Mud/Splash guards
Honda Factory Alarm
HFP Front Lip
Itek 8k HID

Car as of March 2010

Nice car Damir! Looks like you have a lot of time and money invested in a relatively new car. Why switch now?

Welcome in the s2ki.com family.

I'm not sure I'd necessarily call it an upgrade. They're different. The Si is pretty quick though.

OP, welcome

As far as tips or pointers, just read through the FAQ and use the search. Lots and lots of info. I'd probably avoid modded cars and don't be shy about having any potentials inspected by a mechanic.

And IAmTheRealAsif...LMAO. I hope I never get you knocking on my door because I know what that pizza is going to look like....

look for nuts and bolts that have been removed. Ya see alot of cars that once where modded and then made back to stock. This is an indication of a car you might want to avoid too. Look at the Civic and you will notice a VIN number in all of the jambs, this is a factory decal that can not be replaced so check the fenders, doors, hood, truck deck, rear bumper for the VIN stickers.
