Default Hi from Europe (Spain), 06YM AP2

Hi, new member here writing from Barcelona, Spain.

My S is a '06 AP2 imported from the US (F22C), Silverstone with black interior. Being an imported car I could buy it cheaper than a European car, which are still very expensive and sought after, especially the LHDs.

I had always loved the S2K and 2 years ago I finally took the step It's 100% stock except for the camshafts which are from Toda Power as I could find out during a cylinder head problem repair (low compression due to burnt exhaust valves). I could also buy the OEM Hardtop in Germany.

I have always driven and ridden Hondas and currently I also own a CRV 2.2D and a CBR900RR Fireblade bike. Here some pics of my babies. Looking forward to participate in the forums!

Did you purchase the car already imported or did you purchase the car and have it shipped to Spain? It would be cool to hear your story and what was involved in getting it over there. I notice already there is some sort of aftermarket headlight squirter.

There are a lot of S2000s that have been imported from the USA up to Canada, but it is really simple and common.

Belgian plates Did you find it here in Belgium or import it straight from the USA (or another European country)?
I've been looking for quite a while and never saw an AP2 for sale, or I must have missed it.

Looks great btw, nice and original. OEM hardtop looks good to Any plans with it or just enjoy it as it is?

Hi Bubbels. Yes, I lived 13 years in Belgium and I bought it when I was living there, around 2 years ago. It had been imported, homologated and registered by a Belgian guy. I can give you more details by PM if you want.

It has Spanish plates now but the pics are a bit old.

No plans for any significant mods, possibly some small personalizing details but nothing serious. Just enjoy it!

Bubbels, terrible news from Belgium, as I said it's my "second homeland" and I have many friends there. Our feelings are with the Belgian people. I hope no family or friends got hurt.
Let there be peace.

The requirements for European homologation were just headlight washers (hmmm, you called them "squirters" but somehow that sounds funny to a Spaniard here ), and the rear fog lamp. The guy who sold it to me had already taken care of that.
