Hi from NE Ohio!
I've been following these S2Ks since they were introduced. About 3 years ago, Honda was having a $29,999 blowout on the S2K. I drove a few and then went into research mode.
Some how I got tangled up with a Porsche Boxster S instead of a new S2K
I have to admit, the Boxster is a great car .... the engine makes music when it runs (unless it blows up, which they tend to do), and it actually has storage in the trunk and under the hood! I finally dumped that car when I saw a black 82 930 up for sale!
I still have that car, but it is a high maintenance kind of thing that is best for occasional use only ... which brings me back around to the Honda S2K!
I need one, I've driven a few and know they are a blast! That is why I joined this forum.
It looks like a great place to learn all about these cars!

Hey neighbor. That p-car is very nice, 930s are a beast! Check out the Ohio regional forum, there are plenty of s2ki'ers here on the northcoast. It's a little quiet right now but once the weather breaks, the boards get pretty active, w/numerous activities and gtgs throughout the summer.
And here is one of my fav links for people just starting their search:

I appreciate the pics of the 930...it looks fantastic!
Good luck finding the S. If you find one online in the Philadelphia area, I would be more than happy to check it out for you.

Thanks everyone, the regional search is a good suggestion.
I just missed a great deal 11 miles down the road. It was a super clean silver 05 with 18K miles and some nice extras for $17,000. I'm still on the fence between the AP1 and AP2, but thinking the AP2 may be nicer with the extra torque.
