New to the forum, looking for inspiration and some advice, was hoping to pick it up from joining here.

A little history, I used to own a nissan s14a rwd about 4 years ago, then whilst studying a degree I sold it for the cash, and now I work full time and have bought a mini cooper s 2009. Trouble is, I am missing that rwd and would like to plump for something smaller than the s14a, thinking s2k could be a hoot?

I am therefore *thinking seriously about selling my mini s and going for a second hand s2000 (budget of about £8.5k) although spending less is ideal!

What should I look out for? Is the GT the one to really go for and spend the extra (you can pick up a non gt for under 7k easily).

Would you advise selling my current car and going for the s2k? I know answers will be biased but please give honest opinions.

I would do the sell/trade off only because I love my S and wouldn't trade it for anything less awesome.

 

I can imagine (: - there is sooo much choice for £8-9k its a headache! 350z, s2000, supra twin turbo, RX7, 2JZ, 200SX, 180SX.

Personally i dont think its worth the extra money for a gt version. If the 2 seats of the s2k suit you then go for it. But if you're going to need the extra room the mini has I'd be hesitant.
