Default HONDA CONVERTIBLE TOP

Does anyone else out there have issues with tears on the convertible top due to the convertible mechanism rubbing every time top is taken up and down? I contacted Honda and they claim they are aware of this problem but refused to replace my top under warranty because they claim it is a wear and tear item. Can you believe it??? They expect me to spend $2,300 labor included to replace my top every couple of years as they say "IT IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR". Anyone else experiance this issue? Any solutions?

Never mind the flaming; the same questions are asked 47 times on every forum I've registered on in my lifetime. My top also has a tear on the passenger rear side. The Service Manager, Frank Boyle, of Conicelli Honda in PA took pictures and is consulting with his superior on what can be done. I wasn't dismissed initially by any means, but I will find out the outcome in a few days.
