Default How many of you..

Use the s2k as your daily driver. I am considering buying one but it would be my daily driver. I currently own a 2000 GS-R so I figure the ride will be rougher but I don't think I will get tired of it.

Also, I have a concern about some a$$ ripping the Rag Top.

Any thoughts are appreciated?

Thanks,

Mine is a daily driver. Have put over 60,000 kms in under 2 years driving it. I just absolutly love it, mind you I appreciate a firmer / proper ride quality. My motto is, if I want to relax, I will sit at home on my couch, if I want to drive, I get im my S.

I worry about my S2K's top being ripped more or less for someone trying to seal my seats, but I worry more that the car will be missing and not the seats. But that dosen't stop me from driving it.

Mines a daily driver too..i hade an acura cl-s and had the same concerns you did. I soooo love it. I highly recomend this car to anybody that doesnt carry around alot of luggage(as in kids, ect..) It has all the traits i wanted in a car.

As in tearing your top, a nice alarm w/ proximiity sensors will do just fine

I have a good alarm system and I'm young so the S is plenty comfortable. Drive one for yourself to figure out if it's good for you.

A proximity alarm would do nice...very true. I am buying a Clifford alarm for about $500. I just don't ever feel safe parking my car absolutely anywhere...so having a nice alarm will be a plus

And the easiest way to stop people from cutting through your soft top is to buy a hardtop. You can get one for less than 2k and it's one of the best mods you can do to the car.

Mine is also a daily driver ... it's only 7 months old, but I've not noticed any problems with it at all.

The best thing about the daily driver is that I can get out of the office at lunchtime, hit a small mountain or come nearby back roads and burn off some steam from being cooped up in the office all day.

I've commented in other threads of the same nature, but my S is my only car. Just turned over 20k miles in under a year of ownership.

Same excuse as everyone else gives....need to go to the store? Go to the furthest one away.
