It was quite and interesting 1156 miles back from the dealer in my new S2k. No better way to get to know a car than driving it across the country...

First impressions: awesome car. Super compact, love the cockpit. Gearbox is so much tighter than my 6 speed on the Accord... I mean, night and day difference. Was not expecting that. Much shorter throw, too.

Driveline is loud... reminds me of driving a sprint car (OK, its not that loud, but coming from my Accord to this).

Love the car. I did some research before I left on what kind of gas mileage to expect. I was hoping for 260-290 a tank which would figure to be about 24-25 mpg. Well I was surprised when I got 320 out of the first tank (filled up before the gas light came on) and I got 352 to my second tank... 28.9 and 30.2 mpg, respectively! Of course, that was with 100% all highway and the cruise set at 75.

I'm going to drop the car off at Honda this week and have them check it over since I didn't get a chance to do that (buying it from Texas and all). I have the full extended warranty (bumper to bumper) for another 3 years or until 100,000 miles. Car has 47353 on it now and its an 08. I think I have a wheel bearing on the way out, or the cheap tires that the dealership in Dallas put on are just crappy and out of balance. I have an intermittent shaking at 75mph that comes and goes. Driving the car at about 25mph with the top down yields a little howling from the front left wheel, which makes me think its a bearing.
