Default I just bought an S2K... Two dumb questions...

Hello All! I finally bought an S2K after searching for quite a long time! I got a red 01 with about 80K on it. BUT, was completely stock and has never been modified. In the first few days I hit 120+ a few times, did a few donuts and "spirited" u-turns. Overall it's a pretty impressive car!

I am hearing a weird sound. I think it is exhaust vibration because it only happens when I take my foot off the gas and let the engine slow the car down. (creating back pressure in the exhaust) Also, it only happens when the engine is between 1500-4000 rpm. Pretty wierd huh?

Also, what is the color of this red paint?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

First off, congrats on getting an S. It is an amazing sports car! Enjoy it in a responsible way.
I had the same problem with the exhaust on my '00 when I let my foot off the gas. Just learned to push the clutch in When I got my exhaust that sound stopped.

Invidia FTW. Not that I'm biased at all.

I have it and I love it. Sounds really good under acceleration and sick under WOT.

Sure there is a drone around 3.5k but you can control it with the throttle.

Best is at freeway speeds there is almost no sound at all

the other solution to that noise is to leave the top down!!

my top is only up when i detail the car- i am always surprised when i take it for a drive with the top up, after i have just washed it, how noisy it is compared to top down.

top down all i hear is the air rushing by and my spugen dual ovals!!

Actually that sound you are describing souds like "clutch buzz". It was a TSB on the 2000-2001 clutch discs. It was a poor design on the harmonics of the disc. It does not effect performance at all.
