I think it was the Manheim auction in NV but I don't really know. I have been in the market for a s2k for a while now and my Dad surprised me by purchasing it for Christmas. Although apparantly he held onto it for a while before I got it. I take over payments on the car when I graduate so this will really help.

Can't really give you any details though since I wasn't there. People at auctions usually go running when they see a car with mods on it so I am not too surprised they didn't get into a bidding war on it. But it's still an insane price there. I think the 15,500 didn't include the auction prices, but again, I didn't buy it there.

Does the stock muffler have a little tab where the chrome tips attach to? My car doesn't have chrome tips, but the mufflers don't really look like anything special either. There's a little tab at the bottom of each muffler, and I wonder if I am just missing the bolt-on chrome tips.

I want to get the car on a lift soon and take a look to see if the previous owner did anything else to the car.

nice find!! just so you know, Engine management just came out for the 06+ cars, so no need to worry about too much modding!!

Thanks guys, I'm still psyched with the purchase. Any clue about those tabs on my mufflers?
