Inspection help
Looks like a lot of undercoating used. Where is this car located? It looks like a non rust belt car. No visible leaks on trans engine or diff. Are you able to drive it and go through all the gears or get it up to a good speed?
The car is at Motor Werks in Barrington Illinois, 2001 S2000. Looks to be a Midwest car (Carfax History). I have not driven the car yet. I was planning on buying new tires so not overly concerned but I will ask any way.
Interesting there are no photos under the hood of the engine. Other photos look good. Carfax shows regular oil changes. Not sure about other maintenance (but I just scanned it).
These ain't getting cheaper.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to purchase this S2K. Motor Werks was unable to obtain financing. I offered $15k as a down payment and have 800+ credit. BMO would not approve the deal based on the documented value of the car. I am disappointed, to say the least.

Yeah tell BMO to eff off and go to a credit union. That car is worth every penny of what you would finance with that downpayment. I learned when I bought my S2k back in 2014 to just bypass the big bank and go to a credit union. Better rates and WAY easier to deal with.
Check with PenFed. I forget exactly their stipulations but they are more lenient than most on age/mileage. You can join PenFed without being Military/Federal.
I was recommended LightStream but did not end up using them. From what I can tell, they only finance highly qualified buyers but it is an unsecured loan. They'll essentially put the cash in your pocket and you buy in your name, no lien. Their rates are pretty competitive with a standard auto loan. It sounds like you'd qualify. I'm not sure of their age/mileage restrictions but I don't think it really matters. They seem to just assess your credit and value of the vehicle.
This car looks very clean underneath. More pics would help but if it's that clean underneath, 10/10 VINs, and no stories to tell, it looks pretty good.
