My dad is a mechanic but I am not a gearhead. That's going to change slowly. I already have ideas for easy fixes of common s2k problems (one is a 10 dollar fix for our blind spots when the top is up that takes less than 5 minutes to do and has been performing wonderfully the past month - small stuff like that)

Here's a photo after I clay barred her yesterday. Shines like glass and reflects like a mirror!

Look forward to benefitting from our collective knowledge!!

Hi Sam, please enlighten me on the $10 fix for the blindspots when the roof is up.
Thanks

Hey there fellas, new owner here. Purchased mine about a month ago for EUR6000. It's a 2003 car with 60k km on board. It looks like the car's been in an accident since there are no airbags and there are signs of repairs, which is normal for 6 grand, I guess.

Howsit guys

New owner of a 2000 S2K from South Africa. The S2000 has been my dream car and just I picked it up. This forum has been immensely helpful during the purchase and I've managed to resolve so many little issues on the car using the advice give on this forum.

I am now about to spend too much time reading through all the threads.
Picked up my drivetrain this weekend and will soon be annoying everyone with my questions, most of which will be related to how "skinny" I can make the wiring harness as this drivetrain will be going into a car which has power nothing, no ABS, no SMOG or similar requirements etc and what I need to do ECU-wise given my application.

I will also be researching standalone/piggyback ECUs to see if they make more/most sense for my application.

Hi everyone,

I'm from Sri Lanka, got an AP1 in Silverstone Mettalic that I've been restoring to stock over the last couple of years. Only 3 cars over here in my country so had to wait my chance to get my hands on one and bought a car that had been a non-runner/sitting in a garage for 3 years before i got my hands on it.

This community has been a great source of info when it came to sorting out stuff on the car as I'm someone with zero experience with Hondas to begin with, let alone an S2K...

Hey everyone! I recently purchased a Spa Yellow 2001 S2000. I have just been extremely amazed with this car and I can't believe how much there is out there for this car and the owners. Originally, I was looking for a Miata to buy just for fun, but my dad saw an S2K at a dealer nearby and I knew right then that I wasn't getting a Miata (not to knock on Miatas). I am looking forward to learning all about this car and experiencing all the things that this car community has to offer.

Hello All,

I just purchased a 2001 S2000 from Mike Moore. I have been looking for a descent S2000 for quite awhile and rather than going to another state to purchase, Mike had exactly what I was looking for so I stayed right here in PA. My wife and I took it to Wellsboro, PA for a small road trip and were both completely satisfied. I couldn't believe that I received 32 MPG on the way up and back and have been averaging 24 around the neighborhood. I have a freind that golf's at the same club and he stated that he received 28 MPG going out to New York city averaging 75 MPH with the top down so that is an awsome number as far as I am concerned. I haven't really jumped on it yet as there are not to many roads that one can appreciate the car on but that will come sooner or later. I am from Penn Hills, PA in case there are any other members locally that would like to do a road trip or two.

I have recently retired and am enjoying my new found toy tremendously.

Take care all!!!

Hello Friends!

Been browsing this site for a few months trying to get as much information as possible. Finally picked up a 2006 at the beginning of August. It's a local car, completely stock, one owner and is in excellent shape with 15,500 miles when I bought it. I was told the original owner traded it in for a new Porsche Boxster.
The paint is still nice and glossy, however it is riddled with light swirls and some light, but long scratches; some running the length of the panels. Luckily they can only be seen in certain lights and at certain angles. I am willing to bet the original owner used a brush on it at the car wash. I am thinking I will need to do some paint correction, as I'm a stickler about scratches and swirls. At least there are no dents or dings... =)

Picked it up as my nice weather / weekend car, but seeing as winter is coming, I'm now thinking I should have gone for a new AWD SUV instead...just kidding. Well, anyway, here are a couple of not so good pictures. This site has a lot of great information, I look forward to learning a lot more.

Whats up everyone,
I just purchased a 2004 GPW S2K with 60K miles. I've been dreaming about having this car for over 10 years and I'm glad to finally say I'm an owner! The car was purchased with a few mods such as Mugen rep hardtop, Tein Flex coilovers, AP2V2 wheels.
