Hey all. pleasure to be part of this community. Recently picked up a 2001 ap1 (fully stock) and have been loving it. Realistically gonna build it out to be the perfect street car/cruiser. So will prob do Ohlin's DFV, 17" RPF1 (prob same sizing as OEM AP2's since i dont want to roll fenders), and new pads for now. Prob do more things like headers, changing gear ratios, intake mods and more as years go by, but def gonna take it slow and enjoy the car for what it is.
I heard people talking about oil squirter issues, so im trying to compile a preventitive maintanance list. Any references to existing/closed forums would be appreciated.
Since deciding to get an S2K, I've been trying to do as much research as possible while on the hunt, and the most useful info I've come across has been sourced from these forums. Since I keep finding myself here, I figured I should get over my shyness and jump on in!
Can't wait to soak up all the knowledge I can from the helpful community here.
I just got a 2001 S2000 in yellow. it has ap2 bumpers, a hard dog roll bar, RPF1's, coilovers and some other tasteful mods. Engine is stock besides an Injen intake. I don't plan to add more power to the car as my other vehicle is a built C6 Z06. this car will be for my wife and also used as my second track car. Excited to be in a Honda for the first time.
Hello everyone, new here and I thought I would introduce myself. New s2k owner and thought I would reach out to the s2k community and make some friends. I did not buy this car, my father bought it new in 01 and passed away in 09. My sister took possession of it and has had it up until recently. Her and her husband just retired and they said it was my turn with the car and they shipped out to me. So now I have a project.
The car is not in bad shape, normal door dings, soft top is in fairly decent shape (needs deep cleaning and freshened up). I took the soft top off and bought a hardtop as you see in the picture. The engine, I am going to pull it and replace the timing chain/oil pump chain and remove any corrosion I may find. While I have access to the clutch, I will be replacing it as well, if my memory serves me it has about 110,000 on it. All the suspension and associated components are coming out and getting new bushings and searching for corrosion along the way. Already found a trunk leak and has been addressed (trunk vent seal, replaced with OEM honda part).
The hardtop, the hardtop is a carbon fiber Mugen style, I picked it up secondhand. It had a tempered glass rear window already installed and had now brackets. I used OEM front from soft top and my own rear quick release. They work amazing. No noise, rattles, or squeaks.
I am looking forward to bring this car back to life and enjoying it.
Hi all,
Newbie from the UK here, noticed an S2000 in a driveway for months that never moved. Spoke to the owner and managed to persuade a sale!
2005, black with hardtop, pretty clean car all round. Will start a new project thread about how it is and the jobs to get done!
Hey All - Recently picked up a new to me ‘04 AP2 Suzuka Blue in upstate NY. Loving it so far for canyon/ spirited driving runs and looking to auto cross it in the future.

Hi everyone,
just joined the forum and thought I’d say a quick hello. Have a 2004 S2000 which is in need of some serious TLC to get it back to former glory and hoping to pick up some useful information in here to help with that.
