New S2000 owner here! Just picked up my '09 Rio Yellow yesterday. Can't wipe the smile off my face...

 

What's up everyone,

I have been a new owner of an S2000 for about 5 months now (registered to this forum months ago without posting or introducing myself). I am located in New Jersey.

My car is SSM, 2000 MY, with OEM hardtop with approximately 79,400 miles, the car is stock.

I need some advice from the mechanics/experts out there. I'm not sure if it is normal or it is an issue with the S2K, but I think something is wrong with my steering. When I make a turn and let my hands off the steering wheel, it gets stuck to the position where I left it. Normally the steering wheel should automatically return to the neutral position in a few seconds and drive in a straight line again (in other cars at least). My wheel stays stuck and I got to force it back. Please let me know what is the issue. I do have a copy of the service manual, if someone can direct me to the problem and/or page, I'll be greatly appreciated.

What's up crew? Got my first S2K after wanting one for several years now. It's a 2005 Sebring Silver w/ Black/Red interior. After just a couple days I love the car more than any of my previous ones. Don't think I'll ever go back!

Just found this site last week...
We bought our 06 New Formula Red S2000 January of last year. (Found out that buying a convertible in the winter can get you a great deal around here!)
I haven't had this much fun in a car since my 69 Z28 days many years ago.
Was asked by a friend last week if it was as much fun as my camaro and I was happy to report that it was more!
The camaro had more torque for satifying burnouts but that was it. (Have read on here that launching the S isn't the best thing to do!)
Life doesn't get any better than evening cruises on the back country roads with the top down. IMHO

 

Hello. A little about me and my new love affair. My name is Yoseph, I'm 17 from Saudi Arabia(live in Colorado) and I just purchased(with my own, hard earned cash) a 2005 S2k with Suzuka Blue Metallic exterior w/blue interior. 54k miles and aftermarket headers from the previous owner. I'm new to forums in general and I hope I can get this down pretty quickly. Also, anyone know of any S2k clubs in CO? thanks!

 

whats up s2k heads.....turbo from nc.i had my ap1 s for about two months. i think im going to sell for ap2.. i need more spunk and available mods..
