I stumbled onto this forum while searching for various S2000 answers to questions -- aftermarket seats, top options, etc. I have a few vehicles and considered selling my S2000. But, while driving my Volvo I realized I missed the attitude of the S2. Now I see that with a car like this I have many options to customize, and while leading a mild mannered life, still have an edge while driving. So, here I am and I will be trying to extract S2000 info from those of you with buckets of knowledge!

I'm confused, what were you planning on doing to the car? We're all going to have personal preferences on certain aftermarket parts. Either way, this forum is great for learning about this fantastic machine. Good luck

That all sounds good but first things first... I put a new top on with glass becasue the old plastic cracked. Then, while parked underground at my condo somebody took a knife to the top -- all the way across! Now I'm thinking hardtop for security, less road noise, looks nice. Seats are a little worn and not too comfortable so I thought maybe new ones would make the drive less tiring. Turbo sounds like the right things for this 2 liter screamer.

^^ Ok, now I understand you better. Hardtop are always going to cost a few thousand dollars, I personally like the OEM fitment but there are several aftermarkets you can choose from as well. It is nice to have one, but you don't need it. If you want newer seats, just look in the For Sale forum...you'll find them MUCH cheaper here.

Turbo is the way to go, I'm eventually doing it and you'll find that everyone that has done it feels it's totally worth it

OEM hard top has better visibility as well with a larger back window. Not sure about TC the car, but that is always a good discussion TC or SC. Cheapest mod for a bit more power is exhaust and intake. I definitly notice a difference.
