Just got an 02 S2000 with some mystery mods. help?
Hi everybody. I just picked up my 02 silver/black S2000 last night. So far this car is a blast to drive. I just went from a Cadillac CTS-V with over 400 hp and 400 ftlbs of torque to this S2000, so the lack of torque will take some getting used to. Overall though, the car still manages to put a big grin on my face. Just wanted to say hi and pick your brains a bit. I have been lurking in the background for a few weeks now, and trying to study up on S2000's.
Would somebody mind telling me what kind of intake this is. When I bought the car I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had hood struts, an intake, and a comptech exhaust.
I am going to miss my V

but I am looking forward to lots of fun in my S2000.

What is this intake?

Here is a picture of an exhaust tip. I have to do some research on comptech and poke around under the car some more.

Welcome and congrats!!
It is a Comptech...or actually, it is a CT Engineering intake. It has the revised filter box cover. Comptech went out of business, and CT Engineering took over their products.
Don't use a K&N cleaner on the foam filter. Most decent size motorcycle shops will have the cleaner and oil you need. As for UNI foam filter cleaner and oil. They are spray cans. Once clean and dry, it takes a very thin coat of oil to be ready to use. Don't over oil or performance will suffer.
Where are you located? S2ki's local communities have regular meets so you can enjoy your new ride with other enthusiasts.

Yeah...the pics looked like CenFla. Fla has a very active community. All the major cities have weekly meets.
BTW...hopefully you will always be able to park in your garage. But if you are regularly parking the car outside over night, you should consider getting a set of seat locks. S2k seat thefts are rampant anywhere along or south of the I-4 corridor. You can get seat locks by PM'ing Kodokan_4.
