Just picked up my 05 Suzuka Blue
Well, I finally pulled the trigger and got an s2000!
This is my first car that I have purchased on my own so I doubt I got an awesome deal, but I feel like I got a pretty fair deal!
The car is a 2005 with 12000 miles. I got it for 23,965 before ttl and was out the door for 26,700. I am a recent college grad so I didn't get the best interest rate at 8.71, I was shooting for 7-8 so its not too far off target. I prolly could have got a better interest rate if I shopped around but I'll live. Just happy to be in the car and holding the keys! I'll have pics up soon - too dark to take any tonight.
Driving impressions:
Ive owned a couple motorcycles so its not earthshakingly fast. It felt really tame under 6,000 rpms, but had a nice kick when vtec kicked in "yo". Has really crappy blind spots when the top is up, but its a small car, and will take some getting use to.
The suspension felt really nice. The ride was harsh compared to most cars Ive driven, but this is something I expected and really do not mind. Shifting gears felt great like in my teg. The throws were shorter and verryyyy smooth - typical honda clutch and transmission!
All in all the car is a blast to drive and beautiful to look at!

hey, thanks guys.
I didn't put any money down. I have an established credit of 712.
I took some pictures with my iphone. I would host them on my ftp but I am strapped for time. I will try to post those friday when I get home.

man, like $2,800 in fees and stuff on top of an '05? that sounds pricey. i got my new '07 for 29,700 out the door, 5.76% financing, so my payment shouldn't be much more than yours.
anyway, the S2000 is a silly car. i love the thing so much.

Okay, so I finally have time to post up some pictures.

I just drove 2200 miles across the country. Unfortunately the car picked up a few new road chips (which suck big time) but it was an overall blast to drive. I defientely got sun burned lol in New Mexico and Neveda.
I love the way the exhaust sounds. I am def. going to have to put an exhaust on this thing. I've seen a couple hooked up s2ks in Long Beach - still a pretty rare car to see, at least compared to 350z's and S197 Mustangs.
Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome! I plan to get to know this car better and eventully start to mod it.
