Keep Evo or Get S2000
Hey guys nice forum
Well Heres my problem I drive a 04 WW Evolution with 13000 m. putting around 270whp & 250 t ,Works drop in ,TBE, flash.n others .. You see I'm very tired of driving this a sedan with a big wing plus all the freaking kids in los angeles love evos and am not the kind of person who likes attention. Also the lack of front lsd and smaller hotside on 03 04 is kind turning me off even more,
I track my car on the weekend when I have extra change, So I was Wondering if I can make a S2000 handle and give me as much fun as the evo did ?

Hey blazeani!
I also drive a 2003 EVO and let me tell you ... I have a lot of fun with the EVO. But the S2000 is a deferent category. I test drove a 06 S2000 and I liked a lot, its's a different kind of fun. But ike I said I can't compare the EVO with the S2000. Maybe I am going to miss the sound of the turbo spooling, the all wheel drive etc. But I don't have any second thoughts in selling my EVO and as soon I sell it the next day I am going to park a brand new 2006 S2000.
I think as a EVO ownwer you are not going to be sorry if you get the S2000.

I can't say enough great things about the S2000, but if you think you'll get less attention in an S than in an Evo... Well, I suspect that's misguided. If that's not really what meant, then go for it. Sooooooo many owners track their cars; you'll love the S for that.
You may feel a bit underpowered comparing an S with an Evo. Something to think about.
Best wishes on your decision.

Old topic, but just wanted to comment. I got my EVO IX about 6 months ago and installed cams, intake, TBE, flash, etc... The EVO is a helluva car that pulls real hard, which can take the S2000 for sure.. It is a REALLY fun car BUT after 6 months of driving the EVO and a total of 14 or so months with the S, I am willing to sell my EVO.
my friend has an evo 9 mr with 23 lbs boost.
the evo is tons of fun to drive cause boost kicks u in the ass at 3500k.
but iono.... for some reason i enjoy driving the S a lot more. even tho its not as fast.
my friend wanted to switch again for another day and i was just over the evo.
iono.... its just a feeling thats hard to explain and describe my attachment to the S
